Sciurus vulgaris

Ciao

I believe this one is Sciurus vulgaris. They have been introduced in Monsanto, a forest near Lisbon where I pick a lot of funghi. They are very curious and sometimes they stay over my head watching me, when i'm photographing funghi.

They are very easy to be photographed because they are curious.

The red squirrel is always a friend that make us dream... maybe because it inspire us the sense of freedom.

They don't need wings to fly and they have a very functional body.

The fire color tail and big eyes gives them a friendly expression.

They could be elfs... or... pixies...

or what ever you want on your imagination.

Yes. I love those litle creatures!!!
