Cappello: emisferico, poi convesso; superficie finemente vellutata, molto variabile nelle colorazioni, dal giallo ocraceo al nocciola, rossastro.

 

Imenoforo: tubuli giallo-olivastri, viranti al blu; pori arancio mattone, viranti al blu-nerastro al tocco.

 

Gambo: Ocra-giallastro, più scuro, anche con tonalità vinose alla base, coperto da un reticolo a maglie allungate arancio-rossatro.

 

Carne: soda, giallastra, fortemente virante al blu alla sezione; arancio sotto i tubuli.

 

Habitat: soprattutto boschi di latifoglie, spesso in luoghi erbosi.

 

Commestibilità:buon commestibile se ben cotto.

Spore: fusiformi a parete spessa e guttulate lisce 11,5-16 x 5-7,5 micron; la sporata è di colore verdastro.
